Barrow Builders

Barrow Builders is a solo rune (or roll) and write game where you draw arches, standing stones, and round stones in various colors on a board to create a henge of your own.

You have been hired to build a henge atop a barrow within a single year, taking one turn for each month. Using the runes to guide you, create different stone configurations and place them on the barrow mound. 

Each configuration and color of stone is worth points. Any configuration which is fully or partially in the central gray area of the mound is worth double points. At the end of the game, if your entire design is symmetrical add ten points to your score.

The game is played by drawing Elder Futhark runestones from a bag. If you do not have a collection of runestones to use for this game, a chart had been provided, allowing you to role one six-sided die and one eight-sided die in place of drawing runes.
